Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring Course

I have just participated in the Level 5 Management  Coaching and Mentoring Course with roundspace.

It was a fantastic course that really did show me the practical application and the theory behind coaching and mentoring.  I found the teaching technique used by Alexei and his team suited all learning types in the audience really bringing the subject to life.  I am looking forward to attending a future roundspace course to improve and enhance my coaching and mentoring skills.

I would whole heartedly recommend this course and roundspace not only to those interested in Coaching and Mentoring but those just interested in becoming more self aware, the knowledge imparted has many applications that will ensure a more balance and rounded outlook on life.

Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring Course

The course I participated in was an eye opener to the whole group , challenging the beliefs in methods of teaching, coaching etc in an experienced audience from a wide spectrum of teaching at different levels of responsibility.

Lectures were always delivered in a professional and yet relaxed manner that enabled what was inevitable, discussion.

Subject understanding was confirmed with written work every night and each morning in group presentations and throughout the day.

I would recommend this to anybody not just managers, educators, anyone.  Many of those on course came in each day and gave examples of how they had applied what they had learnt in every day life with remarkable success.

Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring Course.

The Roundspace Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring Course.  Poole 13th 17th June 2011

I found the course, not only incredibly informative, but also fascinating.

After only a week in the capable hands of the Roundspace team, I feel more aware of my own capabilities and frailties alike. I believe I am much better prepared to utilize the former and eradicate the latter.

As an individual looking to develop himself in preparation for a change of career, I learned the terminology for recognized training and coaching models which will be important in communicating with the business world, but importantly, it reinforced my personal belief that all such models are mere guidelines and that we shouldn’t feel railroaded in to group thinking.

I was surprised, being somewhat skeptical, about how much I learned about myself in such a short space of time. The team were able to impart their knowledge in such a way that the entire audience sat back saying” I do that all the time”. It is, however, one thing to identify problems and quite another to offer solutions, Roundspace do have the solutions and provided you’re willing to extract the advice that is specific to your requirements the benefits are huge.

Excellent!!

Royal Navy Mentoring Workshop

I attended the RN Engineering Officers Mentoring Scheme Training (RNEOMS), 4 Jun 10 at MWS.

The training was excellent. The content was spot on and the delivery style really enhanced the learning experience. This was easily the best 1 day’s training that I have yet received. As someone who is managing the RN’s Coaching policy, I am interested in how Alexei’s work is used in this sphere and to see it first hand was particularly interesting.

CMI Coaching Course

Just a quick note to really thank you for your efforts last week.  I think I speak for the group when I say your energy, enthusiasm and knowledge for the various subjects was infectious throughout the week.  As always there is much to think about and the opportunity to reflect on our own leadership/management style comes few and far between; the course truly did raise my awareness to things that I thought I knew about but didn't and there were some really useful techniques that have application to address this.  Thank you, I look forward to furthering my ability to 'learn to learn'!

Continue the good work, it is powerful stuff and once again many thanks.

CMI Coaching Course

Thanks very much for your part in delivering a pretty unique course. As you will be able to read below, I have put in place a number of measurable benefits to the delivery of Specialisation Training following participation in your course. The subject matter was fascinating and compelling and the instruction was thoroughly professional in all respects. Best of all, I was impressed by the real applicability for me as an individual, father and husband.

I am really grateful and look forward to working with you over the coming months.

VT Instructors course

Many thanks for your presentation yesterday.  I personally found it very interesting and informative, as you said at the beginning there was nothing new, however it still resulted in several, “light bulb” moments for me.  As a, “big picture thinker” I have had to force myself throughout my career to work on a linear level to achieve my goals.  If I had been given a few hints and tips earlier on in my career what else might I have achieved?  Similarly, your points about the mind being metaphorical, I am afraid I am guilty of being some one who tends to use metaphors as a last resort!  It was obvious from the way you were prepared to move around the subject and cover different unplanned aspects that there is a lot more to come and I look forward to your visit in March.

HMS Raleigh learn to learn course

Can I take this opportunity to thank you for finding the time to come and deliver your lecture to us here in HMS Raleigh. The day’s session gave me a fantastic insight to how a modern and open approach to teaching/coaching can have an influence on the learning outcome of those that we are tasked to teach. The subject matter was well balanced and delivered out with humour and passion. I could clearly see that you enjoy the work that you do and this is reflected in the wealth of knowledge that you have for your subject. Not only was the lecture immensely useful and mind provoking (especially the metaphors throughout the lecture) but also surprisingly enjoyable. I look forward to meeting up with you again in the New Year.

Kindest regards

Learning and Teaching course

Many thanks for delivering yesterday.

I thoroughly enjoyed the information and processes you used; much of what we do here is resultant of Courses we have completed recently.  I was reflecting last night on why we do this and I can only think that is the conditioning we have acquired from too long in the Service and having fallen behind with emerging methods of learning.

I particularly enjoyed the raised awareness of improving general education by showing children ‘how to learn’ before we teach them what they have to learn.  Be interesting to follow the progress with this and I would be happy to forward any thoughts that might help in due course.

I’ll will definately contact you to arrange another visit in March if that is convenient.

 Regards

Babcock Coaching and Mentoring Course

It is easy to see why you are a training provider with reputation of delivering contextualised learning within diverse and challenging working environments.

You facilitated a participative and inclusive learning environment, delivering a well balanced and even paced course that afforded students of varying degrees of experience and expertise the opportunity to enhance and develop their soft skills whilst exploring the theory and methodologies of best and current practice.  An acknowledged Subject Matter Expert (SME) practitioner in your field, you drew on your own extensive experience whilst encouraging students to discuss their own experiences, allowing all to reflect, enhance and develop their understanding of many of the common and indeed more complex issues surrounding Effective Instruction.

We would wholly recommend this course without reservation to any organisation, large or small, who want to utilise the talents of their own people for the good of both themselves and their organisation. This course has proven to be not just for Employees Continuing Professional Development but for Employers Continuing Development. This really is investing in people at its best.  The value adding impact on students could be immense.

The approach adopted in delivering this course ensured total engagement with the students in an authentic, first hand experiential learning experience.  This also ensured that the learners were allowed to make discoveries and construct meaning, further developing their understanding, learning by doing!

Royal Navy Mentoring Workshop

Many thanks for your well delivered and informative presentation.  Having been involved with teaching and coaching in various fields for some time I still found the presentation enlightening and useful.  It is a case of identifying the skills and methods we use on a regular basis without consciously employing them.  I would certainly be very keen to attend any further training/presentations you may be delivering in HMS Raleigh.

Royal Navy Effective Instruction 1 Day Course

The delivery of this presentation inspired attention and questioning enabling skills to be transferred.  The presentation did not overload the audience with facts and reference but with snippets of knowledge that would benefit anyone within the teaching environment.  Reassuring to know current skills are recognised as effective, with an opportunity to learn further skills to be deployed during instruction.  Alexei was obviously passionate about the subject and has inspired me to add further tools to my instruction.  I feel further time spent with Alexi would be a massive benefit to me and my students, I now share the same will as Alexi to implement his knowledge into teaching

Kind Regards
