ACLO/2 2 Day Action Centred Leadership Introduction

Anyone interested in getting more out of the people they lead. If you are in a leadership role in an educational insitution, this short course provides an ideal opportunity to reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of your personal leadership style. You don’t need prior knowledge or experience – just waterproofs and an open mind.

What is Action-Centred Leadership?

It’s a straightforward leadership model based on the recognition of three core responsibilities – achieving the task, developing the team and developing the individual – as defined by John Adair. Action-Centred Leadership is a simple but extremely effective practice that is easy to remember, apply to and adapt for your own situation, making it a great blueprint for leadership and the management of any team, group or organisation.

The focus of our course is on building a solid understanding of the three key areas and how to strike the right balance between them; you’ll also begin to identify how to interpret the model according to your own environment.

What is involved?

The course is blend of theory and practice, with challenging indoor and outdoor tasks. We like to keep things simple and draw as much as we can from the wealth of experience you bring to the course. There is no death-by-powerpoint and a sense of humour is always appreciated.

Course Code : ACLO/2

Duration : 2 Days

Location : The Oak Barn, Highfield Farm, Topsham, Exeter or at you premesis.
